Four Saskatchewan coaches attending Paralympic Games

Four coaches connected to Saskatchewan will represent Canada at the Paralympic Games August 24 to September 5 in Tokyo.

The group includes Para swimming coach Eric Kramer, Para athletics lead Carla Nicholls, Para rowing coach John Wetzstein and Para badminton coach Frank Gaudet.

Regina’s Gaudet will accompany Canada’s first-ever Para badminton athlete in the sport’s debut at the Paralympics, while Wetzstein is attending his second-straight Games in Para rowing. In Rio in 2016, he helped Canada to its first-ever medal in the sport. Regina’s Nicholls will attend her first Paralympics after attending three Olympic Games. Para swimming coach of the year in 2017 and 2018, Saskatoon-based coach Kramer is one of three award-winning coaches who will lead the Para swim team in Tokyo.
