Admission for Membership (From CAS Bylaws)
No individual will be admitted as a Member of the Association unless:
i) The candidate member has been nominated in a manner prescribed by the Board.
or,
ii) Is a NCCP (content-specific trained) Master Coach Developer (Multi-Sport and Sport Specific) and,
iii) The candidate has been approved by a resolution of the Board.
The Nominating Committee will review applications for membership and make recommendations to the CAS Board of Directors for admission to membership based on criteria as described in the Membership Nomination Policy.
Membership Nomination and Application Policy
(A nominee for membership must be a Saskatchewan resident over the age of 18)
1 . A NCCP trained or certified individual may be nominated by a Provincial Sport Organization, University, Multi-Sport Organization, District for Sport, Recreation and Culture, or Tribal Council identified on the Saskatchewan Minister’s Sport Lottery Funding Eligibility List for membership in the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan. Nominees may be recognized for their contribution to coaching, coach education or furthering the development of coaching in grassroots, developmental, or high-performance contexts.

2. Certified and active Master Coach Developers, Learning Facilitators and Coach Evaluators (Multi-Sport or Sport Specific) will be nominated for membership to the association through their Provincial Sport Organization identified on the Saskatchewan Minister’s Sport Lottery Funding Eligibility or through the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan (Multi-Sport Coach Developers).

3. An individual may apply to become a member of the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan by completing an application form and including a letter of support from a Provincial Sport Organization, University, Multi-Sport Organization, District for Sport, Recreation and Culture, or Tribal Council identified on the Saskatchewan Minister’s Sport Lottery Funding Eligibility List.

4. Lifetime Members will be nominated by the Board of Directors of the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan as recognition for a significant contribution to coaching, coach education, or long-term service to the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan. Lifetime Members do not pay a fee.
Membership Fees (June 2022)
An individual accepted as a member of the Coaches Association will be invoiced an annual fee of $20.00 on April 1st each year. Memberships will commence upon payment to the Coaches Association of Saskatchewan. Membership will automatically renew each year upon payment. An approved member does not need to reapply for membership each year. Individuals who wish to cease membership must provide to CAS a written notice of cancellation prior to March 31st.
If a member does not pay a renewal fee, they may renew the following year without re-applying. If 2 years elapse without payment, the member must reapply through the process described in the Membership Nomination Policy.
Accepted members may choose to pay a one-time membership fee of $100.00. Members must remain active as described in the Membership Nomination Policy. Individuals who wish to cease membership must provide to CAS a written notice of cancellation prior to March 31st. No pro-rated refund will be provided for membership cancellation.
