FAQs: Transition to NCCP Make Ethical Decisions eLearning

These FAQs are intended to help coaches understand how upcoming changes to NCCP Make Ethical Decisions may apply to them and what steps, if any, they need to take.

What happens if I have completed MED training but not the online evaluation?

If you have completed MED training but have not yet completed the current online evaluation, you have until March 31, 2026 (11:59:59 PT) to complete it. If the evaluation is not completed by this deadline, you will need to complete the new MED eLearning module, which includes both training and evaluation.

What happens if I have already completed both MED training and the online evaluation?

If you have completed both MED training and the online evaluation prior to April 1, 2026, your coach transcript will continue to reflect that you have met the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions requirement. You will not lose any training, evaluation, or certification status as a result of this transition.

What changes are happening to NCCP Make Ethical Decisions (MED)?

As of April 1, 2026, NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training and evaluation will be delivered together as a single eLearning module through the Locker Learning Management System.

This update improves consistency and accessibility for coaches and allows MED to be completed online, at a coach’s own pace.

How often do I need to complete NCCP Make Ethical Decisions?

Once completed, NCCP Make Ethical Decisions will appear on your coach transcript.

Coaches are not required to complete MED multiple times for different sports or pathways, unless otherwise specified by their sport.

Will the new MED eLearning module be relevant to my coaching context?

Yes. While the MED eLearning module is not sport-specific, it includes scenarios based on common coaching situations across different age groups and environments. The module is designed to support ethical decision-making that applies across sports and coaching contexts.

How long will the new MED eLearning module take to complete?

The MED eLearning module takes approximately 90 to 120 minutes to complete, depending on your pace.

How will MED appear on my coach transcript?

Completion of NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training and evaluation will appear on your coach transcript in the Locker.
