Lisa Borgerson will be attending the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games as a coach of Canada’s shooting team, with competitions running Oct. 21 to 27. Borgerson is no stranger to helping Canadian athletes at major events on the international stage, having attended two Olympic Games — 2020 Tokyo and 2016 Rio de Janeiro —in the past.
This time around, she will be coaching 14 athletes, including Saskatoon’s Richard McBride, who is a three-time Canadian Olympic-style skeet shooting champion, 2010 Commonwealth Games silver medallist and third-time attendee of the Pan Am Games.
In total, 14 athletes, one coach and three mission and support staff with Saskatchewan ties will be attending the Games, representing Canada.
