SUMMARY:NCCP Make Ethical Decisions
DESCRIPTION:By successfully completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training\, coaches will be fully equipped to handle ethical situations with confidence and surety. The training helps coaches identify the legal\, ethical\, and moral implications of difficult situations that present themselves in the world of team and individual sport. \nThe NCCP Make Ethical Decisions module is a cornerstone of the NCCP and leaves coaches with no doubt as to what to do in challenging situations. \nThe module equips coaches to handle challenging ethical situations with confidence and surety. It helps coaches identify the legal\, ethical\, and moral implications of difficult situations that present themselves in team and individual sports. \nAfter completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions module\, you will be able to: \n\nanalyze a challenging situation to determine its moral\, legal\, or ethical implications; and\napply the NCCP Ethical Decision-Making Model to properly respond to situations in a way that is consistent with the NCCP Code of Ethics.\n\nAfter you have taken the module\, you can access the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions online evaluation free through the Locker. SUMMARY:Aboriginal Coaching Modules
DESCRIPTION:The ACM is a professional development training tool for all coaches\, whether Indigenous or non-Indigenous\, who coach Indigenous athletes. Offered as a workshop through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)\, its content reflects the uniqueness of Indigenous cultures\, values\, and lifestyles and is rolled out in three modules:\nAboriginal Coaching Module 1: Holistic Approach to Coaching \nThis module encompasses topics such as: \n• Creating a positive coaching environment\n• The Medicine Wheel: a holistic approach to coaching that embraces the physical\, mental\, emotional\, intellectual\, cultural and spiritual.\n• The Four Pillars value system.\n• How to create constructive coach-to-community relationships. \nAboriginal Coaching Module 2: Dealing with Racism In Sport \nThis module addresses issues of racism in sport including: \n• Defining racism; a lexicon for use in the discussion of racism.\n• Risk monitoring\, assessment analysis and mitigation.\n• Situational learning and application. \nAboriginal Coaching Module 3: Individual and Community Health and Wellness \nThis module focuses on the unique lifestyle\, health situations and challenges that Aboriginal people may face. Topics include: \n• Understanding the community where you coach.\n• Mental health and sport.\n• Personal and community health practices.\n• Diet and nutrition.\n• Health conditions and diseases.\n• Influencing change. \nThe module training is free\, supported by the Indigenous Coaches and Officials Program.
